Michael Nolan Richard Stanton is a debutant character featured in the film Equestria's Taxi Madness. He is a cab driver based in Equestria who works at a local taxi company in Canterlot for more than 70 years.
However, as of the film Superheroes Unite, he and Kerfuffle become Equestria's new rulers replacing King Jacob Wilde after his demise.

Equestria's Taxi Madness[]
Richard first appeared in the film Equestria's Taxi Madness in which he is seen working as a cab driver in Canterlot, Equestria for more than 30 years at a licensed taxi company called The Canterlot Taxi Company and gets a massive wage of $1,000,000 in a month. Due to being a lonely human in Canterlot, Richard spends most of his time in the park hanging out with other ponies around him during the weekends and public holidays. One morning, he spotted a group of robbers in an E66 BMW 745Li got chased by police cars in a bank robbery, prompting Richard to crash the Beemer. After helping the police officers do their job, the police officers thanked Richard for stopping the robbers. His collection includes a collection of DVDs of his favorite TV shows (most notably the Disney Junior TV shows such as Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Sofia The First and holding hands makes Richard an attempt to have a mare next to him.
Throughout the film, Richard and the other ponies ended up seeing Nahwan Nafisah doing a skateboard stunt at Fountain Square until the duo met each other for the first time. Nafisah mentions that Boswell is an evil magician who becomes a big crime boss in all of Equestria, prompting Richard to join her. He also meets Sunburst and his wife Starlight Glimmer the next morning after crying about her daughter Luster being kidnapped for days until Richard decided to help. He visits the Funeral of the Nine Mares and learns everything about the Mane 6 has a late night talk with Terramar, rescues Luster from prison, have a campfire, travel to Hope Hollow, attacks the sinister Boswell with his pals and engages a dance fight while jamming to Michael Jackson's song They Don't Care About Us until Boswell is shot to death after tumbling downstairs. Richard is also last seen after the post credits where he and Kerfuffle kiss each other in the bed.
Riding On a Sleeper Train[]
Richard returns in the film Riding On a Sleeper Train in which he and Kerfuffle are invited to ride on a sleeper train across the US from New York City to Seattle, cross the border to Canada and ride another sleeper train from Vancouver to Toronto, prompting the duo to have a day off.
Throughout the film, Richard and Kerfuffle meets up with the Nahwan sisters (both Nafisah and Nadhirah) and the Eco-Kids (Captain Planet, Paisley, Sandalwood, Starlight Fitzgerald and Sweet Leaves) at the Grand Central Station in New York City, invites Nafisah to sleep with him and Kerfuffle, eats Amtrak's signature flat iron steak for dinner, took a chance to have a video chat with Jake, Sofia and their two kids Laura and Sean through Nadhirah's laptop, took a bus to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and took another sleeper train all the way to Toronto, Ontario.
Superheroes Unite![]
In the film Superheroes Unite, Richard is first mentioned by Petunia Petals and Mayor Sunny Skies to Daniel Campbell-Patterson about being a former cab driver in Canterlot and also a human being. He then appears coming downstairs in which Kerfuffle introduces him to Daniel Campbell-Patterson.
He later reappears rescuing Daniel, Kate, Pamela, Sugar Stamp and Terramar after the 5 pals got injured in a car chase with Princess Yui. After he and Kerfuffle got coronated in Canterlot, he says goodbye to Daniel, Kate and Pamela who hires Luster and Silverstream to take the trio home. After the post credits, he and Kerfuffle mentions Nahwan Nafisah to Sugar Stamp about her big obsession with the old Disney Junior TV series Jake and the Never Land Pirates.
