Maya Syamelia binti Yahya is a character featured in the film Malaysia's Mighty Mount Kinabalu and its sequel. She is Edryna and Nafisah's old senior who used to get a job in Singapore for years, but returns to Malaysia afterwards due to extensive exhaustion.

Maya is first mentioned by Edryna Alya Ayunee to Anthony, Greg, Hitch, Izzy, Jazz, Katrina, Michael, Misty, Pipp, Rocky, Sunny, Violette, Windy and Zipp in the film Malaysia's Mighty Mount Kinabalu about who she is, becoming schoolmates with both Edryna and Nafisah and where she currently is until she makes debut showing up at the Bigfin Beach Resort in Kota Belud, Sabah. She joins the troop to Mount Kinabalu afterwards, much to Sunny's agreement.
Throughout the film, she has a late night talk with Sunny Starscout and asks why Nahwan Nafisah likes to watch the old Disney Junior TV series Jake and the Never Land Pirates so much, climb up Malaysia's tallest mountain which is Mount Kinabalu, had a chat with Queen Haven while hiking up using Zipp's phone and stay for another night at the Pendant Hut due to freezing weather. She explores the country's one and only Upside Down House in Tamparuli, Sabah. Maya is last seen watching Anthony, Greg, Hitch, Izzy, Jazz, Katrina, Michael, Misty, Pipp, Rocky, Sunny, Violette, Windy and Zipp leaving Malaysia and during the film's post credits, Maya is mentioned by Edryna to pirate guy Jake Edwards that Maya herself is an old senior to both Edryna and Nafisah, much to Sofia's joy. After the post credits, Maya takes a chance to have a video chat with Jake, Sofia and their two kids Laura and Sean.
The Race to Africa[]
In the film The Race to Africa, Maya is first mentioned by Sunny Starscout and Zipp Storm to English landlord Sir Robert Tennyson becoming Edryna and Nafisah's old senior, fascinating the old man about who she is. She then later reappears taking a nap at her house in Ramsey, Minnesota taking a nap exhausted selling all different types of food all morning. When the phone rings, Maya gets a phone call from Sunny Starscout that she and her bandmates are in Africa, prompting Maya to join as well. When the Nahwan sisters showed up with Nafisah's Escalade V, Maya hops into the front passenger's seat and the trio quickly departs for Africa.
Throughout the film, Maya, Rocky, Windy and the Nahwan sisters met up with the Mane 10 and the Edwards family at an empty piece of land in Tanzania where she meets Jake and Sofia's youngest daughter Chloe and English landlord Sir Robert Tennyson for the first time. She went to an abandoned shopping mall in Kasama, Zambia, got attacked by an army of evil appliances, giant Furbies (including a giant one), cheers up a heartbroken Pipp Petals after her kill code failed due to the destroyed router in an attempt to defeat the giant Furby and the evil appliances, becomes horrified to watch Elliot, Amy and Kurt kidnaps all the people in Africa, disguise as a robot and got kidnapped after Nahwan Nafisah blows her cover. Maya spotted Chloe driving the Hilux in an attempt to defeat Elliot, Amy and Kurt and becomes horrified to see an unconscious Chloe Edwards fainted during the war. Maya is also last seen leaving Africa as the film ends.

In the MLP: TYT x Jake and the Never Land Pirates film series starting with the film The Two Izzies Meet, Maya is first mentioned by Jazz Hooves and Rocky Riff to Izzy and Cubby Edwards about constantly travelling with the Nahwan sisters, leaving a dizzy Cubby after Sofia has too many ancestors. She then later reappears driving her 2018 Lexus LS500 AWD with Fifi sitting next to her and Sir Robert in the back seats being unaware of both Izzy Edwards and Moonbow's existence. Upon arrival, Maya reunites with the Mane 10, Jazz, Rocky and Windy after checking out of Pleasant Valley Motel in Houston, British Columbia.
