Jacob Christopher Timothy Edwards, sometimes known as Jakey-Wakey by the Shadowbolts and later called Captain Jake during the 4th season, is a young pirate boy served as the titular protagonist in the old Disney Junior TV series Jake and the Never Land Pirates. He dies in the TV show Sofia The First due to being killed by Queen Clarion while making his attempt to rescue Sofia from prison and 50 years later, he is revived by Queen Strawberry Shortcake in the first Equestria Girls and Jake and the Never Land Pirates film in order to reunite with Sofia.

Personality[]
Jake is a young pirate who was given the task to protect Neverland with his crew while Peter Pan left the island to explore the outside world. Before he left, Jake was given a wooden sword named The Forever Sword and it's made from the Forever Tree in Neverland with special abilities so he can be a good leader. In the special Jake's Never Land Rescue, the sword mysteriously disappeared with the threat of Never Land disappearing as well. Later during his adventure to save Neverland, Jake is bestowed with the Sword of Destiny by the newly grown Forever Tree.
Appearance[]
Jake is a young boy who carries a very slender figure. He has hazel eyes, spiky black hair, rosy cheeks, light olive skin and thick black banana-shaped eyebrows. He always wears a red bandana around his head.
During the first Equestria Girls and Jake and the Never Land Pirates film, he, Izzy and Cubby also wears Crystal Prep uniforms to resemble the rest of the Shadowbolts.
Depiction In Jake and the Never Land Pirates[]
In the show, Jake constantly challenges Captain Hook and his crew, as they often steal Jake, Izzy and Cubby's items and belongings. Along the way to get Captain Hook, the pirates collect gold doubloons which act as rewards for completing a task, which are called pirate problems. Towards the end of each episode, Jake and his crew gather up all of their gold doubloons and store them in their Team Treasure Chest.
