Gabriella Paige Griffin is a female griffon, supporting character and member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders who first appears in season 6 episode 19 of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic titled The Fault in Our Cutie Marks. Her human form appears in the film The Longest Road Trip of All.

Season 6[]

In the episode The Fault in Our Cutie Marks, Gabby meets the Cutie Mark Crusaders holding a deep desire to get her own cutie mark.

Working as a mail delivery griffon in Griffonstone, Gabby has always felt different from other griffons in that she tries to spread cheer through her deliveries—with little success. When Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash arrived in Griffonstone during the events of The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone, Gabby observed them helping Gilda with a friendship problem. Reasoning that Pinkie and Rainbow's desire to help others is tied directly to their cutie marks, Gabby becomes obsessed with getting a cutie mark of her own.

While delivering a letter from Gilda to Rainbow Dash, Gabby speaks with several ponies in Ponyville about their cutie marks and they refer her to the Cutie Mark Crusaders. At first, Gabby believes they can magically give her a cutie mark. But after consulting with Twilight Sparkle, they tell her that the chances of a griffon getting a cutie mark are very slim. Nevertheless, Gabby remains hopeful and resolves to be the first griffon to get a cutie mark.

During the song Find the Purpose in Your Life, Gabby, at the Crusaders' urging, tries numerous activities around Ponyville, helping several ponies in the process. As she demonstrates tremendous talent at each activity, the Crusaders realize it would be impossible to choose a single thing as her special talent. They tell her the harsh reality of her situation and she flies off in tears.

Season 7[]

In the episode Forever Filly, a picture of Gabby appears on a wall in the Crusaders' clubhouse alongside pictures of other ponies whose cutie mark problems they helped with.

Season 8[]

Gabby makes a short appearance in Gallus' story in the episode The Hearth's Warming Club, taking part in the griffons' Blue Moon Festival.

Season 9[]

In the episode The Last Crusade, Gabby appears among the characters the Cutie Mark Crusaders helped at their Appreciation Day parade. A design of her feathers appears on Auntie Lofty's quilt. She also makes a cameo appearance in the episode Between Dark and Dawn flying next to Gilda during the song Lotta Little Things. In the episode Dragon Dropped, Gabby is revealed to have become pen-pals with Spike after her first visit to Ponyville. And since Grampa Gruff demands regular updates from Gallus, she now visits Ponyville regularly, allowing her and Spike to hang out often. When a jealous Rarity's attempts to get more time with Spike make it look like Spike doesn't want to hang out with her anymore, Gabby almost breaks off their friendship. Fortunately, the repentant Rarity patches things up between them.

In the episode The Ending of the End - Part 2, Gabby takes part in the final battle against Queen Chrysalis, Lord Tirek and Cozy Glow. In The Last Problem, Gabby attends Twilight Sparkle's coronation ceremony. She also shortly appears in Fluttershy's group shot during the song The Magic of Friendship Grows.

The Longest Road Trip of All[]

A human version of Gabby makes debut in the MLP: FIM x Jake and the Never Land Pirates film series starting with the film The Longest Road Trip of All in which she is seen approaching the house of the Cutie Mark Crusaders with the band's future member: Pacifica Northwest. When she introduces Pacifica to the crusaders, Scootaloo hires Pacifica to take her role as a rhythm guitarist, much to her joy.

Throughout the film, Gabby and Pacifica becomes amazed with Yippy's art collection straight from Sweden until Diamond Tiara and Apple Bloom mentions Jonna Jinton to the duo, fascinating them. She also camps in the Daniel Boone National Forest and when Vivian shows Gabby and Pacifica a picture of Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Utah in masks and gloves, she feels dizzy to think that the 6 girls are doctors and surgeons. She crosses the border to Canada and ended up sleeping in the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for 2 days. Gabby then reaches the town of Inuvik in the Northwest Territories province, took a chance to meet Johan and Jonna Jinton for the first time and slept inside Inuvik's Nova Inn Hotel for 3 days. She then reaches the Arctic Ocean and Gabby is seen eating Malaysia's smash street burgers and crispy chicken burgers for lunch with the others and excessive sauce starts to stain their clothes (hence the Malay word MELELEH). Nevertheless, DT, Gabby and Pacifica enjoys the burgers.

During the film's climax, Gabby climbs up Alaska's Mount Denali by plane, spending days, weeks, months and years reaching the top. After reaching the top of Mount Denali, Gabby then climbs down to Talkeetna and reunite with Diamond Tiara and Pacifica's parents as well as Principal Cadance, Shining Armor and Nathellie Ballerie. During the film's mid-credits, Gabby explains the expedition to Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst.

The Defender Diaries[]

Gabby returns in the film The Defender Diaries, in which she, her bandmates and Mane 10 are seen having a talk with stepsibling duo Martin Mystery and Diana Lombard about the things happened during the events of the film Allura Strikes Back. Fascinated, she follows Diamond Tiara in her Escalade on a cross-country road trip across the US and Canada.

Throughout the film, Gabby reaches the island and small town of Nantucket where she reunites with Flurry Heart, Pound and Pumpkin at the Wauwinet Hotel as well as meeting the WOOHP agents Alex, Blaine, Britney, Clover and Samantha for the first time. She makes a video call with the Nahwan sisters, Toola Roola, Coconut Cream, Morgan, Nathellie Ballerie, Mandy, Caitlin, Dominique and the Eco-Kids in a separate island called Martha's Vineyard, willing to have a BBQ at the house of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. She returns to the headquarters to have a BBQ feast, climbs up Idaho's Mount Breitenbach, reaches the summit, camps around the campfire, has trouble stuck on the mountain and descends Mount Breitenbach safely. Gabby is last seen after the post credits where she meets Sam's mother, leaving her utterly mortified while the others starts laughing.
